Fr. Michael Reagan
This is the first of our new once-monthly continuing education and catechism series: Acquiring the Mind of the Church!
This lecture is called: The Six Stages of Temptation: How thoughts become sin and in it Father Michael reviews the teaching of the Church on Temptation. The spiritual tradition of the Church teaches that there are six stages of temptation: provocation, momentary disturbance of the intellect, coupling, assent, predisposition, and passion. He discusses each stage and the counsel of the Church in how to battle each. This class was recorded on June 7, 2014. Father Michael Reagan also writes regularly on his blog: The Abandoned Mind.
