The talk on “An Orthodox Perspective on Roman Catholicism” was presented at our parish by Fr. Josiah and he is the Senior Pastor of of Saint Andrew Orthodox Church, Riverside, CA and the author of “Marriage and Virginity in St John Chrysostom.”
Greetings Father Trenham, you so much for this video!!!! I would say that I ran across this video by accident a few weeks ago but there is no way that could be the case. We have a mutual friend Father John Parker in Mount Pleasant SC and while browsing some things that he and I were discussing I found this video. I am a Catholic and I have been struggling with its current leadership and have actually led other family members to Orthodoxy when they were looking to leave the Protestant Church because though I love being Catholic I feel it has lost its way and pray that we have new true leadership soon. But this video is so powerful and I learned very much and thank you for your to the point teaching and thank you also for Arena which I listen to on Ancient Faith as often I can. I may end up leaving the Catholic Church because I am just hurt so badly by what they are doing now but I feel like I can’t leave her because she needs people that understand the pre Vatican II way and the Traditional Latin Mass is what should be available to us all and that reform really needs to happen in the biggest way in the Catholic Church. From the sexuality of the Priests to the trying to befriend Islam. Almost everything you called out in this video has bothered me for years and I just want to say thank you again for this video! I apologize for such a long email to simply say thank you. God bless!
