Our next talk in the ‘Acquiring the Mind of the Church’ series, Saint Barnabas’ adult spiritual formation series, will take place on Saturday, June 4th, 2015 at 10 AM at St Barnabas Orthodox Church.
Our guest speaker is Fr Steven Tsichlis of Saint Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church Irvine, California will speak about “Praying & Living As the Lord Jesus Taught: The inner meaning of the Lord’s Prayer.” He will speak on the inner meaning of the foundational prayer our Lord taught His disciples (and us) and how it applies to our lives.
A question and answer period will be available at the end of the lecture, so be there to get your questions answered.
St Barnabas is diligently seeking to provide its community with the finest in adult education. While many converts to the Orthodox Church have an excellent understanding of the major Biblical figures and stories, few have access to college level content that makes distinct how an Orthodox understanding of the world differs from that which is commonly taught in the Western Church. This series is a great opportunity to discover those truths that are sadly hidden or missing. We believe you will be pleasantly surprised at how valuable the content of this series is as well as the quality of the speakers. Be sure to sign up early and mark the dates on your calendar.
Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Supervised childcare will be provided. Coffee and refreshments will be served at 9 a.m., followed by classes (and discussion) from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on these Saturday mornings.
