This is the second of our new once-monthly continuing education and catechism series: Acquiring the Mind of the Church!
This lecture is called: Reading the Bible as an Orthodox Christian. In it Dr Jeannie Constantinou reviews how Orthodox interpret the scriptures (hermeneutics); whether we interpret literally; how we are to understand the voice and perspective of the Psalms; and how we approach the bible as Orthodox rather than evangelicals!
Dr and Presbytera Jeannie Constantinou is a biblical scholar and professor at the University of San Diego and hosts a program on Ancient Faith Radio, “Search the Scriptures”. She is a popular and entertaining speaker.
